Air Force ROTC Detachment 215 at Indiana University Bloomington ranks in the top 10 percent of “highly effective” detachments. The program doubled its incoming class size from 30 to about 65 in 2018, and recently added a new flight simulator that allows cadets to train on light, single-engine aircraft like the Cessna 182.
But what’s it like to balance life as a full-time IU student with cadet responsibilities? We talked to junior Taylor Boggs and seniors Nathan Bailey and Brice Weathers about why they’re so passionate about the Air Force ROTC.
